The Bible is the story of God’s plan to redeem mankind and restore creation to its intended purpose. This redemptive plan is seen in the narrative of the Bible, beginning in the book of Genesis and continuing through the book of Revelation. In this article, we will look at how God’s redemptive plan is revealed throughout the Bible, from the beginning in Genesis to the fulfillment of His promise in Revelation.
The Fall in Genesis

God created the world and everything in it in perfect harmony, but this harmony was broken when Adam and Eve chose to disobey God and eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. This broken relationship with God resulted in mankind’s fall into sin and death. It was at this point that God revealed his redemptive plan to restore mankind to a right relationship with Him. God promised a Savior who would restore mankind to its original state, and it was in this promise that God’s redemptive plan was first revealed.
The Promise of a Savior

Throughout the Old Testament, God provided a series of prophecies regarding the promised Savior. He promised a descendant of David who would be the King of Israel and bring peace and justice to the world. He promised a Messiah who would suffer and die for the sins of mankind, and He promised a redeemer who would restore mankind to its original state. All of these prophecies point to the fulfillment of God’s redemptive plan in Jesus Christ.
The Fulfillment of the Promise

Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of God’s promise of a Savior. Jesus lived a perfect life and fulfilled all of the prophecies of the Old Testament. He suffered and died on the cross to pay the price for our sins and to restore us to a right relationship with God. He rose from the dead, conquering death, and He ascended to Heaven, where He now intercedes on our behalf. Through Jesus, God’s redemptive plan is fulfilled and we are restored to a right relationship with Him.
The Revelation of the Future

The book of Revelation completes God’s redemptive plan by revealing the future of mankind. It reveals the coming of a new Heaven and a new Earth, in which God will dwell with His people and all will be made right. It also reveals a coming judgment, in which the wicked will be punished and the righteous will be rewarded. This judgment is a necessary part of God’s redemptive plan, as it serves to bring justice to a broken world and to restore creation to its intended purpose.
God’s redemptive plan is revealed throughout the Bible, from the book of Genesis to the book of Revelation. It begins with the fall of mankind into sin and death and culminates in the restoration of creation to its intended state. In between, God reveals his promise of a Savior who will pay the price for our sins and restore us to a right relationship with Him. Through Jesus, God’s redemptive plan is fulfilled and we are restored to a right relationship with Him, and this is revealed in the book of Revelation.
